About this site
Amy McKamey Writes is a quiet space for Scripture, reflection, and honest words.
I started this in April 2026 from a growing sense that many of us are carrying things we don’t say out loud—questions, shame, longing, or just a quiet ache we can’t quite name. I wanted a place where those things could be met with truth, not noise.
Here you’ll find writing rooted in God’s Word and shaped by real life,...slow, steady, and intentional. Like time spent outdoors or moments set aside to be still with God, it’s meant to be something you can return to, something that helps you pause, quiet your thoughts, and pay attention again.
If you subscribe, you’ll receive new posts in your inbox and have access to the full archive—everything that’s been written and everything still to come.
My hope is that this becomes a place where you feel seen, and gently drawn back to what’s true.
About Me
Hello,
I’m Amy.
I love studying Scripture and sitting with it long enough for it to speak into real life. Not just in theory, but in the places that are hardest to name.
I connect most closely with God in quiet places, especially in nature, where everything slows down and I’m reminded to be still and listen. That has shaped both my faith and the way I write.
I’m drawn to honest conversations, the kind that don’t stay on the surface, but move toward healing and real freedom in Christ. Much of what I write comes from that place, as I’m learning and growing over time.
Part of my story also includes healing from abortion and becoming a certified leader for Surrendering the Secret, a Bible study for women seeking post-abortive healing. That personal experience, along with walking alongside women in places of grief, shame, and restoration has deeply shaped both my faith and the way I understand God's grace.
If that part of my story resonates with you, I've linked additional support and healing resources on my Resources page.
I don’t have everything figured out. But I care deeply about what’s true, and about creating space for others to encounter that truth with both clarity and grace.
I’m really glad you’re here.
