Holy Spirit, My Lifeline

Holy Spirit, My Lifeline

When I feel distant
I need only to call
Asking You for renewal
Nearer to me, You draw

Not when I’m rushing
Or scurrying about
I pause, staring into the abyss
Clear thoughts still vanish like mist

It's when I sigh, “Please minister to me,”
Then Your faithfulness I perceive
Like dense fog lifting high
A ray of light breaks through the sky

You clear the chaos in my mind
And shed light upon the lies
Those that make me doubt
What this life is about

I am forever grateful
Christ sent you to me
Your presence satisfies
You are my lifeline

Thank you for reading.
